hurried home and did it.

What an exciting week it is.

i think the highlight of this week was watching Batman:Dark Knight.

i have a soft spot for explosions and fireworks now.

Played guitar today w Siyuan.

I kind of lost my interest in guitar and i plan t stick t bass for t time being.

I bet you guys dont know this,

but somewhere in a part of the world,Australia.

Fire are raging in certain parts of Melbourne due t some crank-ed up fogey.

Death tolls have raised to about 20 people and a few hundreds homeless.

It's just so disheartening t know that it's not nature causing problems but fellow human beings attempting t somehow get rid of each other.

Till now,I dont think anyone know of t reason behind him doing so,but whatever it is.

I dont think the lives lost or blazen homes could ever compensate for the arsonist's given intent.

Sigh.

Fall Out Boy Live in Singapore - 10 Feb '09

Took a cab down w Liling through a congested highway.

Cab fare amounted to $18.yowie!

Approached the venue t find myself encountering the guard which to my dismay requested me t place my dslr into the lockers:(

With a frustrated heart i re-entered again.

The area allocated was small and it was already half-filled when we went in.

Soon after,Hey Monday entered the stage as the stage lights were brought alive.

Although i was in the middle of the impatient crowd,

I started jumping to some of their songs which i knew.

Liling said the band looked cartoon and the lead singer looked like minnie mouse if im not wrong.

The stage was rather huge and their amplifiers were not t be seen.

Allowing them a huge area t run around and interact with the crowd.

Fall out boy brightened the atmosphere as they arrived with Thks Fr Th Mmrs as their first song up.

It was plain hectic and I soon got dispersed from Liling.

I proceeded my way through the pushing and stuff t the second row where i got pleased at my location (right in front of Pete Wentz,the over-rated bassist who i idolised in the past)

His bass was a little hard t hear at times questioning my abilities of his once more.

There were many teenagers some even tweens,pushing and shoving were common.

It was more like a mosh pit in the first 8 rows except everyone in t first two rows were safe.

I found myself tussling with another dude who kept complaining about his area.

I never gave up till we settled to just plain squishing.

One personal favourite moment of the concert was when:

They started the famous riff of I Don't Care,

the stage lights were completely switched t pitch black and the guitars on all of them lit up.

Giving the little impressions of floating guitars with lited bulbs on them.

It was such a sight that i found it a pity t be without my dslr,besides the stage lighting was perfect!

I was thrown aback by Patrick speaking t the crowd as he was known t be stage shy.

He managed t pull it off with little jokes t start with and stories t speak of.

They finished a 16 song set in an hour and a quarter.

I pleaded whole heartedly t the guard t pass me t set list which he declined at first.

He passed me t pick which fell on the floor soon after constant begging

I caught hold of the set list the next time he threw it in the air.

The disgrunted caucasions wasnt too pleased with me getting it.

Currently the set list is plastered on my wall.

I'd take a picture of it once i'm free.

Today was V Day.

It was extremely difficult t get a cab as it was flogging w couples...

Headed t Kallang Leisure Center t meet Mel's friends for Vday.

We're there a tad late and felt out of place and disrupted plans for others.

Played games at t arcade while waiting.

The triple colored button game was splendid fun.

Drifted t ice skating as planned.

Four (Sheren,Shaun,Mel) of us skated.

Found it a great challenge t keep balance,

but it was sure a breeze once i managed t keep it out of line.

I'd love t ice skate again.

Had dinner at the poolside.

Some kid blew away my candle when it was lit up,

and he said it wasnt his fault.

i glared at him and he apologised.

Tuesday

Received an sms that i've won a pair of tickets t the Prodigy.

Rushed t Fort Canning from mel's place as we're late.

At first there were the opening DJs which lifted t crowd

Bringing about a few dancers trying t show their moves.

Soon after,it was packed with people and it filled the entire area.

Not a single patch of grass could be seen.

Mel & i were betting t see which guys were drunk first.

Well i think none of them got drunk:(

So the prodigy came on after 2 hours of DJ-ing.

The crowd came alive,

I have no idea they had acquired such a huge fanbase in singapore.

Probably about 6000 people.

On estimate about half of them were caucasians.

The crowd was jumping waving their hands while i followed suit,

with a brief moment once in a while t snap some pictures.

One freakishly scary moment,

A guy got to intense in the dancing and he fainted.

It was really scary and no one rushed forward t help.

The Prodigy had a weird aura around them.

For a moment,i thought they're evil.(cross my heart)

They played an enduring set for about an hour an a half.

It was really long with all the heavy dancing.

People were weaving in and out while some were doing their complex movements,

others like me just jumped.

Nearing t the set,

i decided t leave and watch t show from the side.

We saw quite a number of celebrities:Jamie Yeo,Patricia Mok,and this girl who had a star tattoo on her arm.

Wednesday

Worked for mom with some letter typing.

Left the house t Raffles City t look for my checkered bag.

I was so disappointed and heartbroken t find it missing from the shelve.

I searched Raffles City for a similar bag but to no avail.

Headed t Peninsula t collect my pedal before heading to Tiong Bahru.

Had Dinner and yogurt before going t farrer road market.

Read my book(please do not ask what book it is,aint telling ya) and sipped chrysanthamun.

Went t see mel for a while before she went home.

I've arrived at t decision that i'll be staying in Media and Communication in SP.

Mel says it isnt different from NP.

School starts on 20th April!

i cant wait!

i want t study,instead of wasting my day everyday watching tv and watching time ticks past away.

I've also decided that i want t join the Astronomy Club & Debate (still in the midst of deciding).

However i hope a new CCA (American Football) would be created.

Mom said i could take french and she asked me t work for her.

I accepted her offer but have not been doing an excellent job,e.g waking up at 12 when work starts at 9.

Probably going t sign up for my course on Friday.

I kicked a horse cause it looked dumb(long story)
I got sunburnt.
I missed church.
I received tickets for Live N Loaded but realised it coincided with FOB's concert.
I made a mess of my memory card.
I still have not visited my grandma after saying i would.

Not much of a surprise since melina guessed the concert.

reached there to find the slanted area where concerts are usually held barren.

it was actually held inside the hidden area.

i dont know how t explain this.

Reach to find it not so crowded.

Approximately 2000 people present.

The opening bands were Force Vomit & Wilfry.

I have to admit Force Vomit was not as bad as i presumed.

Although the vocalist has a weird voice.

Wilfry was next.

Pumping Hip/Hop in the air.

i did the un-thinkable.

Dancing to the beat of the bass pounding.

The crowd was getting grumpy.

Everyone wanted the TingsTings.

There was no stopping the crowd.

It was pathetic.

the stage was miniscular leaving the drumsets with little area.

But there was no stopping Katie White from jumping and lifting the crowds spirits sky high.

TingsTings came out soon after.

Opening the show with We Walk.

Playing all ten songs off their latest album We Started Nothing.

However,I could see the heavy use of effects( loops and such) which depicts its pop-ish roots.

Drummer De Martino displayed his talents,switching from guitar then drums then bass then drums again.

With the glamorous glow in the dark equipment they possess,it's no wonder they left a deep impression on the audience.

Songs like Shut Up and Let Me Go & Fruit Machine persuaded the audience to let their hair loose and lift their feet off the ground hands waving in the air.

Ending the show with heart throb fans screaming the lyrics of That's Not My Name right back at the duo.

Delighted?Yes.

Fantastic?Not so for a band who just released an album.

14 Days till X'mas.
just the thought of it,
kills me drastically.

i want to spend x'mas overseas!

now resting at starbucks.
couldnt find an area with wi-fi at noon,
which got me pissed.

the connection here is slow but nonetheless accessible,
so i'm not complaining.

bought sneakers and some shirts to go with.
and some books.
this shopping mall is cool.
it's a mall that leads to another mall.
like after 4th floor--->leads to the 1st floor of another mall.
i'm so exhausted from walking around.

i'm planning to come here for diving the next time i come.

i'm in 1 borneo now,this huge shopping center in sabah.
apparently i think it's the only area where an internet connection is available.

I’m gonna write this post in a sort of diary style and I’m putting all this in Microsoft words since I don’t have an internet connection here.so most likely you guys would see this post on next Saturday where I’ll copy and paste every shit on hatelovetragedy.

Woke up at 5:40a.m,felt an extremely sinking feeling.
Obviously the result of sleeping in late again.
Did the most rushed packing,I would totally not be surprised if I missed out anything.first time where I did packing in the final hour,literally.
Took uncle’s cab there where we checked in.
Saw this two different groups of people who were denied entry on board the plane for arriving late. Budget airlines have a strict policy of refusing entry to those who check in late. Weird
Soooo, it was feeling really sorry for them.
Checked in and strolled into the airport.
Bought some delifrance while my mom searched for the currency exchange.
Bought a book and I love it absolutely ,never took my eyes off it. It’s just so inspirational. I’m going straight home and pick up my guitar.

Next book I’m picking up is most likely nikki sixx biography(:

soooo, we board the plane and I sat at the aisle.
Read my book for like ¾ of the journey where I totally wiped out and took out my macbook t listen t G’n’R (ipod died).
And sooo I slept on my macbook.
Woke up to an eye-piercing light shining directly at my face,
And noticed the plane was about t lane.
It got a little worried when the plane landed really loud and I think it skidded a little(felt like it)
I kept repeating in my mind “faith in the pilot,faith in the pilot”

Thankfully I’m alive.

There was this guy who stood up from his seat and thought the plane has reached a absolute halt,the stewardess quickly echoed over the speaker for him t get back to his seat.
I was disturbed of course and didn’t bother t see who was it.
That was when my mom turned and whisphered”isn’t that guy the teacher from your school?”
I turned back and WOAHH

Mr Eric Loh(YESS!the bald p.e teacher in QTSS who likes to pick on guys with long hair) stood there ushering his children back into his seat that was when I started sniggering.

HAHAHA.kidding!!!

So,I hurried out immediately and grabbed my stuff.
I was astonished to find Sabah completely different from Singapore,it was not what I expected.it was Malaysia,truly asia.
i saw kids going around neighbourhoods picking trash from the refuse placed outside of the bungalows and terraces.
And it was really different from the town setting I got sick of seeing in Singapore.
I’m not going to talk more about it,but neither am I putting Malaysia down.
It’s pretty in its own way(no sacarsm intended)

had seafood for dinner and i had a go at eating crabs so it's fun.
and noodles for supper.gaining weight gaining weight

Today

went t catch a movie w daryl and nevin at cathay.

it's been a long time since i went out w them.

it was kind of awkward since we didn't see each other for a while.

we still caught a movie.

the movie was high in action.

but the plot pulled it down.

and the ending was a total bore.

but overall it's an action packed movie.

went t help daryl find his kite.

assumed that there was a shop that still existed midst the construction works at marina bay.

walked around and headed to raffles place.

settled down for a while at coffee bean and chatted for a bittt.

bookshop closed just as we entered.

i can't stand those unreasonable commuters that occupy 2 seats on the bus.

saw this chinese nationality guy who was way out of line.

the bus was semi-crowded(no more seats but not many were standing)

this guy was reading his newspaper

and he hooked his leg up on to the seat.

and then entered a lady w a baby carrying a pram in the other hand.

she placed the baby beside the man(3 seater seat)

the man not only did not move aside t allow the woman t sit.

he lifted his leg higher.

i was about to blow at his face when my stop arrived.

Stupid commuters with such a huge ass that requires two seats.

i feel so relieved now.

after a long time of whoknowswhat,i started t read the bible today and did my quiet time.

i feel a sense of serene whenever i pray.

and today my day went by smoothly(:

i'm glad that my god is a wonderful god.

i feel a strong sense of being in a stronghold knowing that manchester united has drawn.

so has the other "big teams" today.

all ending in stalemates.

i can't figure what has gone wrong after international duty.

Yesterday

Graduation.

The day where you let loose/feel extremely sad/enjoy your final day of school/kiss goodbye t seeing your friends for the final and last time.

However,graduation this year was slightly different for me.

I miss the school.

This Four years spent has brought a zillion changes t my life.

From the Sec Two&Three Camps to the Soccer matches in the school field to the time spent in the canteen/classroom.

I miss Queenstown.

Spending t last week or so practicing don't cry.

Times at the Studio attempting t remember the lyrics

Days on the computer looking at the bass tabs.

I miss the entire build-up to Graduation Day.

Well,

it came and ended real quickly.

i never was prepared for the performance.

i fumbled.

i stumbled.

i spotted a few sniggerings

But i made it through.

before t performance,

i still had problems memorising the lyrics.

i've not came to blogspot for a long time that i almost forgot my password XD

skipped school for today and yesterday cause i wanted some rest.

i'm so frigging tired.

yesterday headed t macdonalds t did principles of accounts.

wanted t stay home at first but then figured i wouldnt concentrate much.

felt like i was having a hangover yesterday.

i was like grabbing my head at home attempting t smash it against the wall.

i'll be missing talentime today.sweetnibblets.

i heard that sec 4's wouldnt be able t watch either.

and that a dance team won.

i'm just taking a slight break from my chemistry.

tiring.

i wish O's would come in another month's time.

heck.

i've tuition later at 4 and another one at 7.

tomorrow it's combined science practical.

of course i'm feeling a little jittery but i'm taking science for fun:D

so it won't be that bad.

Happy Children's Day!

thinking back,

four years had passed since i last celebrated children's day,

seemed like it was just yesterday that happened.

time flies extremely fast.

well,

there's this person that's been doing well.

she has recently broadcasted her new single,womanizer

it's rather upbeat.

though i don't really dig R&B but it isn't half bad.

she has risen from like what,half-dead,nearly child-less,divorced,alcoholic

to some straight up woman.

she deserves some recognition at least.

had been slacking these week.

i'd no idea what's wrong with me.

i just feel slack and tired and lazy.

there's a liverpool match at 3am.

Today

was a holiday,

so i decided t kick back my shoes and relax.

i was planning t go to kap,

but then plans fell through so i went t friend's house.

watched teevee,scribbled notes,had hersheys,mickey

had dinner at holland village.

my stomach feels absurbly filled to the brim.

i'm gonna wake up at 2 so i've to sleep soon.

it was pretty much a slack day,

had tuition in the morning.

met ryan and swam and played guitar by the pool

we had audiences!

played xbox for a little while.

slept a little and watched the liverpool game

Today

i feeel extremely weary now.

im feeling sick.

flu is taking over me.

i dont know why,

the prelims were kinda "easy" but i didn't study hard enough for it.

so i would expect average marks.

but then,phui see and melvyn said that the O's would be easier than the prelims.

Spent half the day slacking.

It's Bad.

Reaaaaal Bad.

Today

went for principles of accounts prelims at 8 and it ended around 12.

went home and sold my bass neck for $80

i hesitated and gave him a price of $80 which was $90 at first:S

went t take a short swim.

and attempted t sun-tan.

but the weather wasn't on my side.

so i went straight home and watched school of rock:D

awesome show!

i want t purchase more dvds t watch in the DEC holidays!

watched Simpsons and According to jim,

and then Jimmy Kimmel live.

the band that played at the end was awesome:D

i feel happy,

extremely happy in fact.

i think i've changed into a better person,

after weeks of accepting christ in my life again,

life's path is getting smoother for me

i feel less stressed,

more motivated.

i feel that:

i'm more *this is what i feel* forgiving,"less vulgar",better accepting tough facts and more.

but i feel i've changed and have found the direction in life.

things are starting t turn for the better in these past weeks.

and i believe i would be able t meet my target of 15 points.
